Here it is, my favorite moment in this story. This whole plot is my take on the whitewashed movies that Hollywood floods us with. You can't make a story about Africa without making Leonardo DiCaprio the main character. You can't tell a story about the Stonewall Riots without pretending a rando white dude came up with the idea. Even when a character of color does get to star in their own story, Brad Pitt's 10 second cameo has to get called out on the poster.

I've been that guy... making someone else's struggle about myself without even knowing it. The trope is so oversone I couldn't even bring myself to make the guy in the parody of white savior movies white.

But now that No Escape is out, there's really know point in parodying it anymore, because that film seems to parody itself.
